Council

Responsibilities

The founding members of SE&C User Group Customer Council have voluntarily joined together to facilitate the formation of this User Group. The SE&C User Group will operate under the sponsorship of the Council, with minimal assistance from SES. The Customer Council Chair person has been designated, according to the adopted by-laws, the presiding officer.

The Council will consist of a minimum of 3 and maximum of 9 SE&C customers, representing different companies. Requirements for Council member companies include:
  • Willingness to host a meeting and/or sponsor a mixer event,
  • Good financial standing with SES, and
  • An ongoing services and support contract in place with SE&C.
The 2010 User Group Customer Council consists of representatives from the following founding member companies:
  • Ameren Energy Fuels & Services
  • Atmos Energy
  • Eneco Energy Trade
  • GDF Suez North America
  • IBERDROLA RENEWABLES
  • Progress Energy
  • PSEG
  • Southern California Edison
  • Washington Gas Energy Services
Each Council governs the User Group for one calendar year. The responsibilities of the Council include:
  • Setting meeting schedules, location and agenda; determining specific, one-time charges associated with attending meetings, to be based on actual costs. These costs may include, for example, copying materials, meals or meeting room charges*,
  • Establishing communities of interest,
  • Driving membership registration programs,
  • Accepting/rejecting applications for membership,
  • Monitoring adherence to by-laws,
  • Conducting communications with membership,
  • Managing Users Group Web site content.
The Council will also act as the main communications conduit to SE&C management on behalf of the Users Group membership and provide content for the User Group Web site.
